Boat Operator Certification
On The Water Testing & Training North River Burgee

Saturday 12 June, 2010 = 0800 till 1700, 23 Cove Point Road, Toms River, NJ

North River Squadron will organize transportation to/from this important On-The-Water training event. Open to all USPS Members.

·        We will hold our D4 Education Meeting / Picnic and will have Boat Operator Certification for Inland Navigator & Advanced Certifiers.

·         BOC participants should contact their SEO to order their Inland Navigator package from Headquarters $30.00 plus shipping.

      North River Squadron Members should contact Bill Bloxham AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for information or to participate. Bill’s email is mmmmmmbill@earthlink.net or phone him at 646.339.3548 (mobile). Bill will co-ordinate with North River SEO Kim Lobach and Mike Ganci (D4). We will only order IN kits once for this event. Absolute deadline is May 27, 2010.
Participants can take a NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Bayhead, NJ, where we will pick them up and drive them a short distance to the event. Afterwards, we will run back to the train. Carpooling down is a possibility. Call; let’s talk.
·        Paddle Smart seminar will be offered for $25.00 for members and $40.00 for non-members. Kayaks will be available to practice new learned skills. Taking the seminar is not required to use the kayaks. Bring a floatation device for on the water activities. Bathing suit is suggested.

·        A $10.00 cover charge will be collected to defray the cost of activities.

·        Hero Sub Lunch will be available.
